Newborns shall be discharged after 3 days of hospital stay in the event of normal delivery, and after 4 days in the event of operative delivery. You will be informed of the forthcoming discharge one day in advance by the attending paediatrician.

In the event of certain medical indications, or in case of a premature birth, the stay in the Neonatology Department may be extended at the discretion of the attending neonatologist. In such cases, you will be notified of the time and date of discharge the previous day, with notice periods of several days for newborns with longer hospital stays.

At the time of discharge of the newborn, you will need to have pre-washed clothes for your child, a blanket or diaper, and a newborn basket/car seat. The kit may be brought to you by your close ones on the day of discharge, but no later than half an hour before the discharge.

You can use the services of a hospital photographer or employ a third-party photographer to have a newborn photo shoot.
