Dr Danail Iliev

Dr Danail Iliev is a graduate in medicine, class of 1998. In 1999, he started his clinical residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maychin Dom Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynaecology – Sofia. Under the mentoring of Professor Nikolov, he focused his interests mainly in the field of high – risk pregnancy and childbirth. He was conferred a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2004. He completed a volunteer internship at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Second City Hospital – Sofia. In 2005 he started working at Sheynovo Obstetrics and Gynaecology Hospital, where he was part of the teams of Gynaecology, High – Risk Pregnancy and Maternity Departments.

 

He has had volunteer placements at the Maternity Department of the University of Heidelberg (2004), University of Maastricht – Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2005).

 

From 2008 to 2020, he was appointed at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Tokuda Hospital – Sofia. In 2011 – 2012, he was the Head of the Maternity and High – Risk Pregnancy Department at that same hospital. In his work at Tokuda Hospital, he expanded his knowledge and his skills in the field of preterm birth and preterm birth prevention.
