Dr Daniel Georgiev

Dr Daniel Georgiev is a graduate in medicine, class of 1995 in Sofia. From 1999 to 2003, he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Maychin Dom University Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He gained his professional experience in the Department of Emergency Operative Gynaecology at Pirogov University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine, where he worked for seven years. He completed additional qualifications in the specialty at Busico Hospital and Rothschild Hospital, Paris. Since 2014, he has been part of the team of Nadezhda Hospital.

His professional interests include the study of papillomavirus infections. He has published 3 papers in this field and contributed to a book on HPV with Professor Zlatko Kalvachev and Daniela Dimova, M.D.

He performed the first PCR – diagnosis of HPV together with colleagues from the Department of Genetics of Sofia Medical University and has published a paper on the topic in a prestigious Italian scientific journal on obstetrics and gynaecology.

His clinical work is related to the diagnosis and follow-up of pregnancy within the prenatal consultation and in the performance of specialized studies in the field of prenatal diagnosis – biochemical screening, foetal echocardiography, foetal morphology, and Doppler examination.
