Dr Daniela Milanova

Dr Daniela Milanova graduated from the Higher Medical Institute (VMI) – Varna in 1991. She obtained her specialty in Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, and Balneology at the Higher Medical Institute – Sofia in 1997, and in 2013 she received a Master’s degree in Public Health and Health Management.

From 1991 to 1998, she worked at the United District Hospital – Silistra, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. Between 1998 and 2000, she was part of the team of the VI United District Hospital – Sofia and, following its restructuring, at Diagnostic and Consultation Center (DCC) 21 Ltd. – Sofia until 2005.

In the following three years, she worked at the Specialized Hospital for Prolonged Treatment and Rehabilitation of Children with Cerebral Palsy – Sofia, and from 2008 to 2009 – at ASIMP – MC for Clinical Diagnostics “Cortex” Ltd. – Sofia.

Since 2009, she has been the Manager and Head of a multidisciplinary team at Medical Center “Children with Developmental Problems” Ltd. – Sofia.

Dr. Milanova is also a lecturer in Kinesitherapy at the Faculty of Public Health, Health Care and Tourism at the National Sports Academy.

She has completed postgraduate qualifications in:

• Manual therapy and post-isometric relaxation;

• Neuromuscular diseases;

• Developmental kinesiology;

• Diagnostics of cognitive disorders in neurological diseases;

• Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization in Prague, Czech Republic;

• Neurokinesiological diagnostics according to Vojta in infants and young children in Munich, Germany.

She is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association (BMA).

At Nadezhda Medical Center, Dr. Milanova is engaged in early diagnostics of children from risk groups, evaluation of motor, neurological, and sensory development, as well as assessment of their rehabilitation potential.
