Dr Desislava Koleva

Dr. Desislava Koleva graduated from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich), Germany, in 2020. During her studies, she worked at the university hospital Klinikum Großhadern. Since 2020, she has been a resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Nadezhda Hospital, where she obtained her specialty certification in 2024. She is currently part of the hospital’s medical team.

Her main professional interests are in endoscopic gynecological surgery — laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, pregnancy follow-up, pregnancy pathology, labor management, and preventive women’s health care. She performs examinations and modern treatment of gynecological diseases, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Dr. Koleva has completed numerous specialized courses and participated in conferences in Bulgaria and internationally, including:

• SEUD Masterclass Endometriosis, Malaga, 2025

• European Certificate in Gynaecological Endoscopy, Naples — GESEA Level 1 & 2

• ESGE 33rd Annual Congress, Marseille, France; ESGE 34th Annual Congress, Istanbul, 2025

• Münchner Cancer Retreat, Herrsching am Ammersee, Germany

• Hysteroscopy course under the GESEA program at Nadezhda Hospital, where she currently serves as a mentor during training sessions

• Münchner Symposium Gynäkologischer Ultraschall — Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Munich

• National Gynecological Conference with international participation; 12th Sofia Symposium on Reproductive Medicine “Art, Pregnancy and Childbirth”; Training course in Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology; National Obstetrics Conference, and others

She is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association, the Bulgarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology, and the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.
