Dr Diana Mileva

Dr Mileva graduated from Medical University – Sofia in 2009. From 2010 to 2015 she specialized in General Surgery at the University Hospital “Pirogov”. In 2015 she obtained her specialty. From 2016 to June 2023 she is part of the team of surgeons of “Vita” Hospital – Sofia. From June 2023 she joined the Department of Surgery of “Nadezhda” Hospital.

Her professional interests are in the field of bariatric and metabolic surgery, laparoscopic treatment of groin, umbilical, postoperative and diaphragmatic hernias, as well as surgical treatment of diseases of the perianal space – hemorrhoids, fistulas, fistulas, dermoid cysts.

Postgraduate qualifications and courses:

In 2011 – Basic course in laparoscopic surgery at Aesculap academy, University Hospital “Pirogov”;
in 2016 – Laparoscopic surgery as a postgraduate qualification at Medical University – Sofia;
in 2018 – Bronze certificate – “Gastric mini-bypass”, bariatric course, Krankenhaus Sachsenhausen, Frankfurt am Main;
in 2019 – participated in the First Vita Bariatric Symposium, Vita Hospital.

Dr Mileva has participated in numerous national congresses and seminars in the specialty.
