Dr Irina Bozhinova

Dr Irina Bozhinova is a specialist in neonatology and paediatric diseases with extensive experience in clinical and outpatient paediatrics and neonatology. She has in-depth knowledge in the field of neonatology and follow-up of premature infants, as well as best practices in the field of child health and preventive care, especially in infants born with low and extremely low birth weight.

 

She is certified in diagnostic imaging modalities such as transfontanal ultrasonography and abdominal ultrasonography in neonatal and early infancy age.

 

Dr Bozhinova is a graduate in medicine, class of 1998 and was conferred a specialty in paediatric medicine in 2007 and a specialty in neonatology in 2017 from Sofia Medical University.

 

From 2003 to 2007, she was a postgraduate student at the Department of Paediatric Diseases at the Medical University. She also worked as a resident physician at the paediatric ward of Fifth City Hospital – Sofia in the period 2006 – 2007. From 2008 to 2012, her work was related to newborns and premature infants at St. Sofia First City Hospital of Obstetric and Gynaecology, also at an outpatient practice as a paediatrician in the Paediatric Department of Doverie Hospital.

 

Since 2013 she has been part of the team of the Neonatology Department and the paediatric consulting room of the Nadezhda Hospital.
