Dr Кamen Anachkov

Dr Kamen Anachkov is a specialist in pathology and cytopathology, with a license for professional qualification in cytopathology and certificates for the application of modern molecular genetic methods and for diagnostic liquid – based cytology.

 

He is a graduate in medicine of Sofia Medical University, class of 1989. He immediately started working at the District Hospital in the town of Kyustendil as a resident physician, specializing in pathology. At a later point, he became the head of the cytohistological laboratory with departments of pathology and forensic medicine at the same hospital. He specialized in Clinical Pathology and Diagnostic Cytology under the mentoring of Professor Ivan Valkov.

 

In 1996, he won a competition for a research assistant at the Military Medical Academy – Sofia, and later became the head of the department of germ cell and cytological diagnostics at the Military Medical Academy. In 2005, he worked as a consultant histopathologist in the pathology laboratory of Kuwait Armed Forces Hospital. He has practiced at the Eurohealth Medical Center and at the GinArt Society at the Military Medical Academy – Sofia. He worked at the St. Ekaterina University Hospital – Sofia at the Department of Clinical Pathology, Histology and Forensic Medicine.

 

From 2008 to 2011 he joined the team of Tokuda Hospital – Sofia in the Department of Clinical Pathology. He was the head of the pathology laboratory at VITA Multiprofile Hospital. From 2011 to 2014 he worked at the Department of Clinical Pathology at Military Medical Academy – Sofia as the Head of the Department of Gefrier and Cytological Diagnostics

 

He joined the team of Nadezhda Hospital in 2014.

 

Dr Anachkov has scientific publications in the Bulgarian and international medical press, participates in scientific forums in Bulgaria and abroad. He is a member of the Bulgarian Society of Pathology and the Bulgarian Association of Pathology.
