Dr Lyubomir Hristov

Dr Lyubomir Hristov is the Head of the Gynaecology and Pathological Pregnancy Department and an obstetrician – gynaecologist with vast experience in the field of operative gynaecology and surgical techniques for pregnancy loss prevention (cerclage). In 2015, he introduced and performed the first ETCO – type cerclage in Bulgaria, and he is currently the only specialist in Bulgaria qualified to perform this procedure. Dr L. Hristov is a graduate in medicine of Sofia Medical University. He specialised in St Sofia First Specialized Obstetrics and Gynaecology Hospital and was granted his specialty in 2010. Subsequently, he completed various specialized courses – laparoscopic surgery, ultrasound and Doppler diagnostics, colposcopy, destruction of cervical precancerous lesions, etc. He was also awarded a degree in Public Health and Health Management at Sofia Medical University. Since 2013, he has been part of the team of Nadezhda, and since 2020 he has been the head of the Gynaecology and Pathological Pregnancy Department.
