Dr Milena Stoyanova
obstetrician and gynaecologist
Dr Milena Stoyanova graduated from Pleven Medical University in 2000. From 2000 to 2002, she worked at the Emergency Medical Care Center of Teteven Hospital. From 2003 to 2009, she was part of the team of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Teteven Hospital, and at the same time she specialized at Pleven Medical University. In 2009, she was conferred a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and started working at the Military Medical Academy. In December 2015 she became part of the team of Nadezhda Hospital.
While working at MMA, in 2011 Dr Stoyanova participated in the International Stabilization Assistance Force (ISAF) mission as part of the mentoring teams at the Afghan Army Military Hospital in Kandahar. She was subsequently awarded the U.S. Army Medal of Honour by the U.S. Army Command for her outstanding achievements in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.
She has completed qualifying courses in colposcopy, ultrasound and Doppler diagnosis at the Maychin Dom University Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Stoyanova’s professional interests are related to obstetrics, diagnosis and follow-up of pregnancy and women’s health preventive care.
