Dr Polya Penkova
Head of Clinical lab
Dr Polya Penkova is a graduate in medicine from Sofia Medical University in 2003. In 2013, she got a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science at Sofia Medical University. From 2003 to 2004, she worked as a physician in the Clinical Laboratory of St. Vrach and St. Kuzma and Damian Medical Centre – Sofia. In 2004, she started working in the Clinical Laboratory at the Tsaritsa Ioanna – ISUL University Hospital, where she was mainly involved in haematology and particularly in paediatric oncohaematology. Since 2014, she has been the Head of Clinical Laboratory at Nadezhda Hospital.
Dr Penkova has extensive experience in the field of clinical trials and works closely with the team of the Medical Oncology Clinic of Nadezhda.
Her professional interests are in the field of haematology, endocrinology, tumour markers, laboratory tests in prenatal diagnostics. She has scientific publications in the field of Medical Oncology together with the team of oncologists of Nadezhda, as well as participation in national and Balkan conferences in the field of clinical laboratory.
Dr Penkova is a member of the Bulgarian Society of Clinical Laboratory.
