Dr Simona Markova
cardiologist
Dr Markova graduated in Medicine from the Medical University of Sofia in 2019. In the same year, she joined the team of the Cardiology Clinic at St. Anna University Hospital, Sofia. In 2025, she obtained her specialty in Cardiology.
She has experience in the monitoring and treatment of a wide range of cardiovascular diseases, with a particular professional interest in pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart defects in adult patients. She performs echocardiography, electrocardiography (ECG), Holter ECG monitoring, and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. She does not examine pediatric patients.
Dr Markova actively participates in national and international cardiology congresses and scientific forums, including as a lecturer. She is an author in the international real-world study:
“A Real-World Study on Epidemiology, Clinical Characteristics, Diagnosis, and Treatment Pattern of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension in Bulgaria.”
