Dr Vanya Atanasova

Dr Vanya Atanasova is a graduate in medicine of Sofia Medical University in 1999. From 2000 to April 2015, she worked at the Clinic of General and Oncological Gynaecology of the Mlitary Medical Academy. In 2008, she was conferred a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Since May 2015 she joined the team of Nadezhda at the Gynaecology Department. Since 2023 she is head of the Gynaecology and Oncogynaecology Department.

 

She has completed qualification courses in colposcopy, ultrasound in obstetrics and gynaecology, two and three – dimensional ultrasonography, laparoscopic surgery, gynaecological endocrinology, and sterility.

 

Her professional interests are in operative gynecology, oncogynecology and urogynecology.

 

Her daily work is related to the complex treatment of all emergency conditions in gynaecology (ovarian cyst rupture; ectopic pregnancy; pathological genital bleeding; emergency conditions related to myoma disease; laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and conventional surgery), operative conventional and laparoscopic treatment of malignancies such as cancer of the cervix, uterine body, ovary, fallopian tubes; conventional and operative treatment of endometriosis.
