Prof. Monika Bogdanova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences
Prof. Monica Bogdanova is a psychoanalyst, Professor at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Faculty of Educational Studies.
She developed her professional and scientific experience through the ideas of Françoise Dolteau. In 2015, she created ‘the Green Yard’, a psychoanalytic centre for welcoming families. In 2018, she created the ‘Françoise Dolteau’ centre for the development of infants and children up to 5 years of age.
She is committed to the cause of babies and young children, promoting psychoanalysis among professionals in the field of maternity and early childhood development (paediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians, speech therapists, educators, social workers, etc.)
Professor Bogdanova’s name is the by-word in Bulgaria for the practice of development of the multisensory principle in the therapeutic environment, the synergy between medicine and psychoanalysis. She has specific professional and scientific interests related to premature infants and the diagnosis of disorders in infancy (0 – 3 years). She has specialized in Paris and has over 100 publications, the most recent being “Welcoming the newborn through words and into the world”, “Perinatality and Psychoanalysis”, “Babies, children, and their language”.
She is a member of the Bulgarian Psychotherapy Association, and a full member of the Bulgarian Psychoanalytic Space Association.
