Stefka Nikolova

Stefka Nikolova graduated from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Faculty of Biology, in 2003. She continued her studies at the Department of Cytology, Histology and Embryology and successfully defended her Master’s Degree in Cell Biology and Pathology. She was introduced to reproductive technologies as an intern in an assisted reproduction clinic. Her professional development began in 2005 as a biologist at Malinov Clinic, as part of Stamenov, M.D.’s team. Since 2013, she has been a senior clinical embryologist at Nadezhda Reproductive Medical Center-Sofia – the largest reproductive center in Bulgaria, and since 2016 she has been the chief embryologist and responsible person of the Medical Center of Assisted Reproduction at the EAMS (Executive Agency for Medical Supervision).

 

Stefka Nikolova is been a member of ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) since 2006. Since 2014, she is a certified Senior Clinical Embryologist at ESHRE. Member of CNR (Committee of National Representative) for Bulgaria at ESHRE for 4 years.

 

Stefka Nikolova attended many international trainings and congresses. In Bulgaria, she participated in the annual congresses of the Bulgarian Association of Fertility and Reproduction (BAFR). She has attended a training course entitled “Patients and doctors for donation”.

 

Her interests are in the field of embryology, cryopreservation, PGD (preimplantation genetic diagnosis), quality control, time lapse technologies, non-invasive diagnostic methods in embryology. She participates in the production of scientific publications, posters, and congress presentations.

 

Stefka Nikolova is the Chief Clinical Embryologist at Nadezhda Reproductive Medical Center – Sofia and the responsible person of the Medical Center of Assisted Reproduction at EAMS. Since 2014, she is a certified Senior Clinical Embryologist at ESHRE. She is a member of CNR (Committee of National Representative) for Bulgaria at ESHRE.
