Velislava Donkina, Ph.D.

Velislava Donkina is a clinical psychologist and PhD candidate in psychology at Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute and a member of the American Psychoanalytic Association.

 

She works in the field of development and organization of non-medical care in hospital settings in Bulgaria and directs the first of its kind psychoanalytic unit in a hospital institution – the Unit for Psychological and Non-Medical Care at the Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Haematological Diseases.

 

She is a board certified Balint group facilitator, a lecturer at the Master‘s Degree Program “Clinical Psychology – Psychoanalytic Perspective” of New Bulgarian University.

 

She is a member of the International Association of Psycho – Oncology, the International Association of Neuropsychoanalysis, Bulgarian Medical Association of Haematology, Bulgarian Psychoanalytic Society and Bulgarian Balint Society, qualified member of Bulgarian Psychotherapy Association.
