Metabolic Age Test
The metabolic age test is intended for IVF patients with diminished ovarian reserve or in the perimenopausal period.

Here you will find information about the highly specialized metabolic age test offered at Nadezhda.
The results provide valuable information about the overall condition of a woman’s body, including her reproductive system, by assessing the degree of activation of aging processes.
On the day you wish to undergo the test, you need to visit the Registration Desk. After registration and payment, you will be directed to the Clinical Laboratory for blood and saliva sample collection.
Please note that no prior appointment is required—feel free to visit on a convenient day before 10:00 a.m.
IMPORTANT!
Before taking the test, please note the following:
- Blood and saliva samples are taken in the morning on an empty stomach (8–12 hours without food) at the Clinical Laboratory at 3 Blaga Vest St. or at Nadezhda Medical Center in Paradise Center, floor 3, after registration.
- Avoid coffee and alcohol for at least 24 hours before the test.
- Avoid intensive physical activity 24 hours prior to the test.
- Inform the medical staff about all medications and supplements you are taking.
What is the purpose of the metabolic age test?
The aim of the test is to provide information about the overall condition of a woman’s body, including her reproductive system, by assessing the degree of activation of aging processes. If signs of accelerated aging of the reproductive system are detected (e.g., faster depletion of ovarian reserve or reduced endometrial receptivity), the intake of supplements that may slow down these processes is recommended.
The test includes a range of indicators—energy and immunological metabolic age, markers of kidney and liver function, inflammatory markers, as well as indicators of cardiovascular health and diabetes risk. In the final section, it summarizes whether there are deviations (elevated or reduced values) in any of these indicators. Based on this information, the treating physician determines the appropriate approach or treatment.
How long does it take to receive the results?
The results are ready within 3 weeks and are uploaded to the patient’s personal profile.
Can the test result be interpreted by doctors in other hospitals?
The metabolic age test has been developed by the Research Laboratory of Nadezhda Hospital, and the format of presenting the results is tailored to the specifics of work in our medical institution. For this reason, it is recommended that interpretation be performed by specialists at Nadezhda Hospital who are familiar with the methodology and the significance of the different indicators. This ensures accurate assessment and an appropriate therapeutic plan, if needed.
