Nadezhda Hospital Participates in Reproductive Health Forum in Belgrade
Dr. Sabina Persenska, midwife Rumyana Ivanova, and coordinator Teodora Sredoyevich represented Nadezhda Hospital at Serbia’s Festival of Assisted Reproduction and Gynaecology.

On 11 October, the seventh edition of the prestigious International Festival of Assisted Reproduction and Gynaecology took place in Belgrade, attracting more than 600 participants.
For the first time, Nadezhda Hospital’s Reproductive Centre took part in the event, represented by Dr. Sabina Persenska, midwife Rumyana Ivanova, and Teodora Sredoyevich, the hospital’s regional coordinator.
As part of the programme, Dr. Persenska provided free consultations to couples experiencing fertility challenges and, together with colleagues from leading European clinics, participated in a panel discussion dedicated to the topic: “Reproductive Cells and the Endometrium – Preservation, Preparation, Interventions, and Success Factors.”
“Our participation in Belgrade was truly successful and generated considerable interest.
The consultations we conducted with Serbian patients over the course of two hours highlighted issues that we frequently encounter in our daily practice as well – diminished ovarian reserve in younger women and fertility challenges among patients of advanced reproductive age.
During the discussion panel, we explored various aspects of our clinical practice. The questions addressed to me focused on the investigations and diagnostic work-up performed at Nadezhda Hospital before starting IVF treatment, as well as our approach to managing patients after unsuccessful treatment attempts. The role of immunological factors in reproductive difficulties was also discussed.
The other panel participants received interesting questions related to IVF treatment in patients with conditions such as multiple sclerosis and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, as well as questions regarding ovarian PRP, embryo quality, and other relevant topics.
I believe that meetings of this kind are valuable both for patients, who have the opportunity to meet established specialists and seek expert advice, and for us as physicians, as they allow us to exchange experience, knowledge, and expertise with colleagues from other European countries.
The event demonstrated that the reputation of Nadezhda Hospital’s IVF Centre extends well beyond the borders of Bulgaria and that many international patients place their trust in our expertise.”
