Nadezhda Specialists Lecturers at the Second Academy of Prenatal Medicine

The event took place from 21 to 23 February at the Medical Simulation Training Center in Plovdiv under the leadership of Dr. Boris Stoilov and under the patronage of Prof. Ekaterina Uchikova, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical University of Plovdiv. The academy brought together leading national and international experts to discuss key aspects of third-trimester pregnancy care.

The lectures delivered by our colleagues from the Department of Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy at Nadezhda Hospital focused on highly relevant topics related to pregnancy pathology.

Dr. Kristina Chacheva, Head of the Department of Prenatal Medicine at Nadezhda, shared her extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of fetal anemia. Dr. Marina Mihova presented on “Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy in the Third Trimester.”

Associate Professor Rumen Marinov, pediatric cardiologist and specialist in fetal echocardiography, delivered a lecture entitled “Fetal Hemodynamics in Coarctation of the Aorta.”

In addition to its comprehensive scientific program, the Second Academy of Prenatal Medicine offered hands-on training sessions using state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment. We are proud that Dr. Chacheva and Dr. Mihova were invited to lead part of this practical training.

The event also featured internationally renowned experts, including Prof. Kypros Nicolaides, a world-leading specialist in fetal medicine and fetal surgery, and Prof. Tsvetomir Lukanov, Head of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Heidelberg University Hospital.
